After making an extensive review of advent calendar's that are on the market this year, we decided to make and release our own free digital Advent Calendar for 2019. This functionality has been available for our user already a few years, but so far we haven't used it ourselves. But today we launched our own Advent Calendar. It is a traditional advent calendar, with one nice Christmas related image behind each door. We have picked all those nice images from the Pixabay, and made the Calendar suitable for kids and adults alike...
Christmas is coming fast and Google has been bombing us with calendar emails (since we subscribed to calendar alerts). There have been many different types of calendars. More than what we have seen before, and we decided to take a look at them. We skimmed through all the emails since the start of August, looked at top results from Google and all that Amazon had to offer. Then we picked up all the popular stuff, and on top of that all that looked interesting and different. Our review started to grow, and grow, and now it has 150 different calendars...
Alright, we continue our series of wish list service reviews. Now we’re looking at Gifthero, a website based in the United States. This site has been online since 2015, and they’ve gained some good opinions. Gifthero is the first review we make about an American site, so let’s get to it....
The seventh wishlist service that we are going to feature in our wishlist comparison table is the wish list service named MyWishBoard.com from Russia. Let's see what they have...
Next wishlist service that we will review and include in our wishlist comparison table is the addwish.com from Denmark. It is an own wish list service, but also part of the hello retail products.
Let's see how this web service works, and then where it stands in terms of functionality in the following paragraphs..
The fifth Wish list service added in our wishlist comparison table is the website Ookoodoo.com. Created in 2008 and last updated in 2019, this website is based in France, and claims to be their nr1 wish list service. This is also the first non-nordic website that we review. Let’s see its features and services...
We have just released a WordPress plugin to help WordPress users to discover WishSimply and use the embedded wish lists that WishSimply offers for free.
Next up in our wish list service reviews, we now include in our wishlist comparison table a wish list service from Sweden. The name of the service is Wishlistr. It is a dedicated wish list service that has been around since 2005. Let's see what they have...
It this blog post, we will feature our Countdown calendar. It is a side functionality that is addressed to the same audience as the wish list service. A countdown calendar works pretty much like wish lists in Wishimply. Every WishSimply user can create their own free countdown calendar for any event and share..
The third wishlist service that we will include in our wishlist comparison table is the wish list service named Lahjalista.net. It is a dedicated wish list service that has been around since 2006 and was last updated 2 years ago. Let's see what they have..
The second wishlist service that we will include in our new wishlist comparison table is the lahjalista service by Stockmann, another big Finnish department store chain..
The first wishlist service to be included in our new wishlist review table is the Wishlist ('lahjalista' in Finnish) service from Sokos, one of the big Finnish department store chains. This in not the biggest or greatest giftlist service in the world, but it is the first one that I stumbled on and used 17 years ago. And as it still exists, it must have done something right...
Today, we are launching a new page on the WishSimply website, a wishlist service comparison page. On this page, we will list the main features of various wishlist services. We are so confident about the value of our wishlist service that we are not afraid to name our competitors and tell you what they can do..
Just a quick note that we have updated our mobile apps recently. There aren't many visible changes, except that the top level navigation has been changed to use symbols instead of text. So, no more buttons with 'back', but buttons with an arrow pointing left. Otherwise, internal libraries ...
We have made a few videos (and one gif!) to show how the service works to those potential users who don't dare to push the 'create my wishlist' button on the front page, or to anybody who would like to share or demonstrate how WishSimply works. And there might even...
Netflix raises prices instead of pushing ads for users
By WishSimply - 2016-10-26 18:26:12.0
This year there has been lot of buzz around Netflix as it has started to rise the price of it's service. Netflix has been very innovative and bold company, and so it is nice to cover it also in this blog, and especially since they have chosen to not show the ads. Same choice what we have made...
Amazon starts to compete directly with fashion brands, too
By WishSimply - 2016-05-31 17:24:47.0
A few months ago, Amazon launched several retail fashion brands of its own, but I did not notice it at the time, so I am picking it up only now. The only reason I noticed this news even now was that I stumbled on one of those brands and tried to find more information about it...
More time passed than we originally planned, and in the end we selected two options instead of one. So we will provide two alternatives for the WishIT button. The orange button is the default WishIT button, but we also offer a lighter version that might fit in some shops better.
Lately, we have been working on the WishIT button. The functionality behind the button is working well, but visually, it is still the same as in the development sketch. It is clear what is does, but it does not look so good. Now it is getting the visual face lift that it already needed for quite a long time. Take a peek at our new WishIt button candidates!
We added two new pages to the website and added more information to a third one. First of all, we added a social media page to make it visible that we have presence in social media as well. Otherwise..
You might have noticed that we have put up some time ago also other nice page about great services to protect your privacy. That page was newer introduced either, so we are doing that now.
Christmas is a busy time for a wishlist service, and we try to keep the service running as smoothly as possible at the time when you need it most. This Christmas, we again managed to keep our uptime above 99,99%...
Last Christmas, this service was already running fine, but after that, we have made over 1000 improvements to the service. Don't worry, I am not going to list them all here..
As WishSimply is now turning into a two-year-old service (1,5 years in closed beta), it is a good time to take the blog in use and do a short introduction of the service.
